Opal Kits for Whole Tissue Slide Imaging are part of a practical workflow for the simultaneous detection of up to six tissue biomarkers plus nuclear counterstain within a single image, across the entire digital slide. The method is similar to standard immunohistochemistry (IHC) and is accessible to many laboratories where standard IHC method development is performed. These Kits are optimized for whole slide multispectral imaging with PhenoImager Fusion and PhenoImager HT (formerly Vectra Polaris) Instruments.

The Opal 6-Plex Manual Detection Kit – for Whole Tissue Slide Imaging is part of the PhenoImager whole slide workflow and contains:
- 6 reactive fluorophores (Opal 480, Opal 520, Opal 570, Opal 620, Opal 690, and Opal 780)
- DMSO
- 10X Spectral DAPI
- 1X Plus Automation Amplification Diluent
- 1X Antibody Diluent/Block
- 1X Opal Anti-Ms + Rb HRP
- Users should source primary antibodies and other workflow reagents separately. This kit was optimized for use on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX and configured and validated for imaging on the PhenoImager HT imaging system. Kits contain enough reagents to stain up to 50-slides at the recommended 1:150 dilution ratio.
