Overview

Best-in-class benchtop jacketed glass reactor

AGI Benchtop Reactor is built for top performance at lab-scale and has been engineered to provide a great user experience.

The superior reaction performance is delivered via the unique Ring Baffle located in the reactors' thermal jacket. This provides a quick and efficient thermal exchange between the process and thermal source.

Other notable performance factors are a wide process temperature range, high thermal shock resistance and vessel geometry similar to industrial vessels.

Our Benchtop Reactor is a compact system with interchangeable vessels (300 ml to 5 L) and is suitable for placing in a fume hood. Various vessel options and accessories allow you to choose exactly what you need for your process.

Premium options are also available to simplify workflow, provide an enhanced user experience, and save valuable time.

  • Fast achievement of reaction set-point temperature
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Interchangeable vessels (300 ml to 5 L)

AGI Benchtop Reactor is designed by experts to provide users with a best-in-class jacketed reactor product. We have extensive experience in scientific glass fabrication and in providing solutions for a wide variety of chemical processing industries.

We integrated our knowledge into a system that offers the following advantages:

  • Wide process temperature range: -90°C to +230°C
  • Thermal jacket with Ring Baffle for excellent temperature control
  • High ΔT - Thermal shock resistance: 110°C (Double wall), 60°C (Triple wall)
  • Removable flush valve for easy cleaning
  • One support structure for vessels from 300 mL to 5 L
  • Interchangeable vessels and accessories

Ring Baffle - a performance driver

  • Precise and fast temperature control of the process
  • Quick rectification of temperature fluctuations
  • Less waiting time for the temperature to reach set-point
  • Reduced energy costs and total process time

High performing reaction vessels

Vessels are a core component of a reaction system. AGI glass vessels are available with a double wall (thermal) jacket or triple wall (thermal and vacuum) jacket. Both types are available with or without Ring Baffle. All vessels made by AGI have thermal jackets up to full working volume.

Removable leak-proof flush valve

  • Easy removal for cleaning
  • Leak-proof operation from -90 °C to +230 °C
  • Chemical resistance: PTFE shaft with FFKM O-rings
  • Down time prevention - replaceable parts

Interchangeable reaction vessels

  • Performing reactions continuously without waiting for emptying of product and vessel cleaning
  • Scaling-up or scaling-down of reaction volumes between 300 ml to 5 L without interruption

Easy vessel access

Vessel arm swing mechanism improves user experience in many ways, including:

  • Easy access to inner reaction vessel (convenient if crystalline or viscous end products need to be removed)
  • Makes vessel swapping easy
  • Allows quick replacement of impeller (in cases where optional lid holder is present)

Stable and debris-free stirring

Newly designed AGI stirrer bearings have an extended configuration with glass and PEEK sliding parts.

Zero dead space

The perfect alignment of a flush valve and its PTFE shaft with the drain port of the reaction vessel provides a seamlessly continuous surface that leaves zero dead space. This way, no stagnation occurs in the vessel and everything is in movement during agitation.

Impeller options

Mass flow pattern is an important factor to consider when you want to achieve a perfect chemical reaction process. We offer three types of impellers with axial or tangential flows. AGI impellers are made of SS rods encapsulated in PTFE for excellent chemical resistance and mechanical strength.
