Gaia Science & Akoya Biosciences Are Hosting A Talk @ MBI NUS!
14 February 2025-14 February 2025
From Pixels to Knowledge: Whole tissue spatial phenotyping solutions
Speaker: Preston Teng, PhD, Akoya Biosciences
Decoding the Tumour Microenvironment: Advancing Cancer Immunotherapy with Ultra-High Plex Immunofluorescence
Speaker: Timothy Shuen, PhD, National Cancer Centre Singapore
Join this seminar on the Trends in Spatial Biology as we explores how Akoya spatial proteomic solutions can provide a richer, more detailed understanding of tissue biology through quantitative phenotyping analysis. PhenoCycler Fusion 2.0 through integration with spatial transcriptiomics analysis using multimodal imaging workflow is pushing the boundaries of spatial omics research to great heights.
Dr. Timothy Shuen, Senior Research Fellow at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Research Manager of the Virus-Induced Cancers – Translational Oncology Research and Immunology (VICTORY) programme, is at the forefront of leveraging advanced technologies for scientific discovery, biomarker identification, and therapeutic innovation.
In this seminar, Dr. Shuen will share insights from his research projects, highlighting the applications of single-cell transcriptomics and multiplex immunofluorescent staining in understanding tumour immune microenvironment. His presentation will provide an in-depth exploration of how these state-of-the-art methodologies contribute to uncovering novel biomarkers and guiding the development of precision immunotherapy strategies.
